Delft Blue tile paintings by Willem Hendrik van Norden for Plateel- en Tegelbakkerij De Distel and the Kunstatelier van Goedewaagen-Distel, 1915-1940

Compared to the total production of tiles, tile plates and tile pictures, Plateelbakkerij De Distel made relatively few Delft Blue products. Paintings by the 19th century 'Modern Masters' were therefore executed in polychrome and sepia rather than blue. Exceptions are a 15 by 15 cm tile with a beach view at Scheveningen after H.W. Mesdag or a Dutch polder landscape. Read more about Delft Blue at De Distel and the Goedewaagen-Distel art studio ".
