Cornelis de Bruin, Dordtsche Kunst Potterij, 1903-06 and Plateelbakkerij 'Delft', 1906-23

Before he started at DKP in August 1903, De Bruin had already prepared a series of 19 models in Amsterdam. Based on advertising photos preserved in Dordt he developed a whole range of products, varying from earthenware with animal figures in relief - a reference to the then popular Japanese Meiji bronzes - to wall plates and jugs with regional costume motifs and from proverbial plates to souvenirs.
